What is Occupational Therapy?

Just as every wildflower blooms in its own season, every child grows, learns, and experiences the world in their own unique way.

Pediatric occupational therapy supports children in developing the skills they need to participate in the everyday occupations of childhood: playing, learning, making friends, getting dressed, eating, writing, managing emotions, and exploring the world around them.

At its heart, pediatric OT isn't about changing who a child is. It's about understanding who they are.

Occupational therapists partner with families to build on each child's natural strengths, support their individual needs, and reduce barriers that make everyday activities more challenging.

Through play, meaningful experiences, and everyday routines, we help children develop the confidence, independence, and life skills they need to thrive at home, at school, and in their communities.

Because when children are given the right support, and the freedom to grow in their own way, they're capable of incredible things.
